My piece is called Our Time after the End and was written in 2021. My inspiration for writing this piece was mostly other apocalyptic stories I enjoyed. One such is Telltale’s Walking Dead series. In the first game, the story follows the relationship of two characters, Lee and Clementine. I enjoyed how the story focuses on the characters struggling to survive together rather than the conflict itself. I chose to write this type of story in a novel form, where the story is spread out over a longer story. My story focuses on two characters that met during a worldwide apocalypse that struggle to get along as their situation gets more complicated with twists and turns.
