Coping With Quarantine (2021)
Imposter
It’s hard not to get in your own head when there’s no one else around you. This poem is a light-hearted introspective piece on Imposter Syndrome. I, and many other creatives, struggle with this, especially during these months of quarantine where normal collaboration was truly impossible.
Moment of Quiet
Sometimes a moment of quiet is a moment of refresh. This poem was inspired by a meteor shower I witnessed this past August. Amidst the horror and the chaos of the pandemic, those few hours felt truly peaceful.
New Leaf
The seasons remind us of our growth. This poem reflects on the turn of the seasons. As winter turns to spring, I finally feel like things are moving forward. The sun begins to shine a bit brighter these days.
Joyful Escape
Creativity has gotten me through this year. This poem was inspired by my love of escaping to fictional worlds with my friends through our four-year long Dungeons and Dragons campaign. We care a lot about our characters, and this poem details one of them.
