Hush, Ghosts

This piece is the culmination of all the daydreaming I did in my physics class. It is the first three chapters of a novel set around the background characters of your typical fantasy adventure story. The story does not follow the valiant heroes who leave their home to fight monsters or evil forces.Instead, it focuses on the “average”person who has to live in a world plagued by a demonic curse, just trying to weather the storm. I ended up taking a lot of inspiration from our current situation; for the most part, we aren’t the heroes trying to end the Covid-19 pandemic, we’re just the millions of stories living in it.
